There are some added attractions in the Tulip Festival of 2022. Nature has bestowed the garden with more varieties of flowers this year.  Moreover, visitors can avail the benefits of surplus facilities like free Wi-Fi, more fountains, washrooms (separate for the specially-abled persons), and drinking points.

More green spaces are included in the garden area keeping in mind the comforts of the tourists. Extra plants like daffodils, hyacinths, narcissus, and other ornamental plants are planted to ornate the area. Water channels running through the terraces will add charm to the garden.

The prime location of the Tulip Garden makes it the most visiting place in Srinagar. This park is surrounded by scenic hills, attractive gardens of the Mughal era, and most importantly, it overlooks the awe-inspiring Dal Lake. Given below are some other attractions that lie in close proximity.

Chashme Shahi Garden – This garden is the center of attraction for housing a natural spring that flows from it.

Pari Mahal – Overlooking the amazing Chashm-E-Shahi Gardens, this historic monument was once a Buddhist Monastery.

Shankaracharya Temple – Soak in the beauty of the snow-clad Pin Panjal Range from this age-old temple situated at a height of 1100 feet.

Dal Lake – Dal Lake is truly a paradise on Earth. The beauty of this breathtaking lake is beyond description. A Shikara Ride is a must here.

Nishat Gardens – Spotted at a distance of 3.2 km from Tulip Garden, Nishat Bagh is home to long avenues of Cypress and Chinar trees, rare flowers, and fountains.

Mughal Gardens – A confluence of Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh, and Chashm-E-Shahi, this park draws the crowd for its cascading fountains.

Shalimar Bagh – Another well-manicured garden built by Jahangir, a Mughal emperor. Praise the outstanding craftsmanship of the Mughals in terms of horticulture here.

How to Reach Tulip Gardens?

Located on the foothills of the Zabarwan hills on the banks of Dal Lake in Srinagar, the Indira Gandhi Tulip Garden can be reached by air, rail, and road.

By Air: Tulip Gardens are easily accessible from Sheikh Ul-Alam International Airport in Srinagar. It is well connected and has regular flights from major domestic destinations. Buses or private/shared taxis can be hired from the airport to reach Tulip Garden.

By Rail: To reach Srinagar by train, you can either get off at Jammu Tawi or Udhampur railway station. They are well-connected with prominent cities of India. From these stations, you can take private taxis or state government buses to reach Tulip Garden.

By Road: Srinagar is well-connected by road with cities like Jammu, Delhi, and Chandigarh. You can hire JKSRTC buses to reach Srinagar and reach the destination.

Day 01: Arrival - Srinagar Airport – Mughal Gardens
Arrival on Srinagar Airport you will be met our representative and drive towards hotel.
After refreshment  at hotel continue your tour to famous Nishat Garden known as ‘Garden of pleasure’ built in 16th century (1633) by Mughal King Asif Khan. Then visiting Shalimar Garden known as ‘Garden of love’ built in 16th century (1619) by Mughal King Jehangir for his beloved wife Noor Jehan or (Mehr-un-Nissa) and later on pay a visit the famous White mosque of Srinagar city (Hazratbal shrine). Overnight in houseboat / hotel in Srinagar.

Day 02: Srinagar – Tulip Garden
After breakfast, leave for tulip Garden / Siraj Bagh on the foothills of the Zabarwan Range in Srinagar, Kashmir, unfolds its greatest spectacle during the month of April, more specifically between the 5th and 10th (the dates vary depending on when the tulips are in full bloom). This is the time when Tulip Garden in Kashmir holds a Festival, an occasion for tourists both national and international to flock to Kashmir in large numbers. The festival is a huge hit for various reasons. On the one hand is the breathtaking beauty of the Zabarwan Range and the Dal Lake on its foothills. On the other is the spectacle of hundreds of thousands of blooms spread over an astounding five hectares of land on the shores of the lake – creating a riot of reds, yellows, pinks, whites and the most spectacular of blues and purples. Visitors can take long romantic walks among the flowers as they admire them – a sight that usually encourages the whipping out of the camera ever so often. Evening check in Houseboat / Hotel.

Day 03: Srinagar – Gulmarg – Srinagar
After breakfast at hotel leave for day excursion to Gulmarg (8700 ft i.e. 2652 mts), Discovered by the Kashmiri romantic poet in the 16th century who was inspired with its grassy slopes covered with wild flowers. In winter Gulmarg looks more beautiful due to heavy snow fall. And turns into India’s premier Ski resort in winter. The Gondola Cable Car (optional) offers rides to the upland meadows of Kongdori and beyond to the top of Apharwat range to a height of 14000 ft for viewing the Himalayan Peaks in summer and for downhill skiing in winter. Overnight in hotel in Srinagar.

Day 04: Srinagar - S. Temple – Airport
After early breakfast at houseboat visit the famous Shankaracharya Temple and then drive towards Airport for onward destination with sweet holiday memories
